MARSH & PARSONS –  BISHOPS PARK

LONDON

Marsh & Parsons Estate Agency tasked AMI with creating an entirely new architectural brand for their existing 150 year old agency. The brief was fourfold: to produce an elegant, classic look, with a fresh, contemporary twist; to create a warm, friendly and welcoming environment; to capture a look to portray the professional experience and local know-how of the company’s agents; to fit quality finishes throughout.

AMI created the initial Marsh & Parsons flagship store architecture in 2005, and continues to take M&P to market with an ongoing roll out package now spanning over 9 years selling to LSL in 2011 for £50 Million. The Bishops Park site was originally a carpet shop with side extension. AMI pioneered the Retail Design glass box concept, complete with LED lighting, which was awarded the Best Retail Design in London and the UK at the International Property Awards 2014.

Interior Brief

Design principles were based on retaining the heritage assets of the building, and simultaneously regenerating the unlisted internal elements. AMI recreated the existing side extension as a glass display ‘box’, and reinterpreted the meet and greet area.

A Living Billboard

The glass box side extension allows for a maximum amount of office circulation, and offers a fully interactive space with full street view. The core open-plan office has high ceilings, a vintage oversized clock and full-height panels suspended from a glass light box as a main feature. A rich red down wall lies on one side, a feature wall light with coloured gel coats lies on the other. The floor colour is neutral.
