FOXTONS – EALING
LONDON
In 2001, Ann MacDonald and Chris Warren were commissioned by Jon Hunt to create a New Brand for Foxtons Estate Agency. Foxtons was sold 6 years later, in 2007, for £370 million. Jon was a designer’s dream client: he wanted a look to totally break with the traditional Estate Agency style of the time. Ealing was the flagship branch: our initial task was to create an innovative shop front something that no other retailer had. Together we came up with the idea of a shop front as a transparent glass living billboard no fascia. An Agency supplied the 2 dimensional graphics and AM and CW translated this into the architectural brand and signage package.
“Annie worked for me in the design and implementation of Foxtons cafe style offices. She is fantastically creative and the offices have been a huge success with our consumers. I have no hesitation in recommending her.”

Interior Design brand features
The interior design of Foxtons has some key brand features. These include; café bar reception desk; iconic chairs; glass shop fronts with no poster displays; glass panels holding LCD’s to divide client and staff spaces; glass brochure racks; Gaggenau coffee machines and property display screens in the reception areas.
Longevity of design
The minimum usage of colour is key to the success of this style; stone, steel and glass make Foxtons Brand Architecture striking, modern and classic. The longevity of design and quality of space is also underlined by this minimal styling. Large, 1m square Jura Limestone tiles were used on the floor, with coloured iconic swan and egg chairs for seating.
